Tony Dorigo has hit back at Leeds United fans after the Athletic released numerous polls on each club this season.
Only 54.83% of Whites fans were said to be happy with the club’s performance in the Premier League this season.
That is utterly baffling, and Dorigo believes that Leeds have been “amazing” in their first top-flight season in 16 years under Marcelo Bielsa.
Speaking on the preview show for the Sheffield United clash on LUTV, Dorigo hit back at the fans that claimed they were unhappy.
“There was a poll, and for some reason, 45% of Leeds United fans weren’t so happy,” he said.
“Who are you, people? Come on, it’s been absolutely amazing, it really has. This is what I expected at best, I’m thinking if we can get mid-table and be comfortable, we have produced a miracle.
“That’s what we’ve done. We should be really proud with that.”
We couldn’t believe our eyes when this survey was released.
Teams such as Fulham who are battling relegation have fans who are happier with their clubs’ performance, how does that make any sense?
The simple answer is it doesn’t.
Bielsa and the Whites have been phenomenal this season, and we couldn’t be prouder of this squad that is still the majority of the side that got us out of the Championship.
If we had a little more luck in games against the likes of Wolves and Arsenal, we could have easily had been in the top-half of the Premier League.
This season was about cementing our spot in the top-flight, and we appear to have done that already, cheer up fans.
