Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has endured a wild couple of weeks away on international duty with Poland.
The Whites mainstay was initially called up by his country despite struggling for fitness and having injury problems for the past couple of months.
Klich didn’t end up playing any games though after testing positive for COVID-19, even if it did take four tests to prove it in the end.
There were question marks hanging over the head of his availability against Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.
Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media on Thursday but was unable to confirm whether or not Klich would be able to feature against the Blades.
Friday delivered much better news, with the Whites sharing a video on their YouTube channel which saw Klich’s return to full training at Thorp Arch.
We can’t believe we’re saying this, but could Leeds finally have a full-strength squad to choose from against Sheffield United this weekend?
Pablo Hernandez and Rodrigo are also back available, but will likely start from the bench given their lack of match fitness.
Klich still may need confirmation to play from the FA against the Blades, but given that he is back in training, he will have returned another negative test after his period of quarantine in Poland.
Hopefully, this break has given him the much-needed rest to recover his fatigue and slight injury issues to come back fully thriving for the Whites.
Stuart Dallas may once again be given the nod in midfield by Bielsa, but his bench could be the strongest it has been all season; we can’t wait.
