Tim Sherwood issues view on Raphinha’s Leeds United future

Tim Sherwood believes that Raphinha is set to leave Leeds United in the summer amid growing interest in his services.

The Brazilian has been at the top of his game since his move to Elland Road last summer.

He was blown away by his performances over the weekend against Norwich and thinks that he is set to move to a bigger club in the summer.

Speaking on the Premier League Analysis show, Sherwood, a Sky Sports pundit, said, “Raphinha was brilliant against Norwich. I think it is very difficult for him to stay.

“I’m not exaggerating to say he could play at any club in the world. It’s going to be a lot of money for someone to buy him, but very low risk. He’s worth it.”

Sigh

If Raphinha leaves it’s going to be a bitter pill to swallow for Leeds fans.

He has been the club’s saviour whenever the chips have been down in the past.

For the Whites to find someone just as good is going to be extremely difficult.

The best they can do from his transfer fee is to reinvest it in the squad and strengthen other areas of the pitch.

The Whites need to sign full-backs and central midfielders in the summer and need to find a way to replace Raphinha.

It may be tough for some Leeds fans to accept, but that is the current reality and the club has not progressed as well as he thought they would.

In other Leeds United news, Steve McManaman claims that a Whites man has already lost the trust of fans and some players after what happened last week.
