Ryan Taylor: No surprise if Leeds United announce signing of Calvin Ramsay on deadline day
Ryan Taylor has insisted it would be no surprise if Leeds United announced the signing of Aberdeen defender Calvin Ramsay on deadline day.
The Express journalist has reported that the Whites have launched a £3million offer for the young Scottish right-back.
Ramsay has been described as “unbelievable” and a really attractive option to Leeds before the 11 pm deadline.

Speaking on his Deadline Day video special shared on YouTube and Twitter, Taylor shared the big news regarding announcements.
“Calvin Ramsay at Aberdeen,” he said. “Leeds have made an offer, it’s not sort of one of serious immediate ‘let’s get him through the door’ but long-term for the club’s vision, Ramsay’s a really attractive option.
“He’s been really impressive with Aberdeen, his defensive stats are sort of unbelievable really for a young prospect.
“Leeds have come in at about £3million, it’s one to keep an eye on, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.”

Here we go?
Well, there is some hope afterall.
Ramsay isn’t the signing that everyone will have wanted if they could pick one name to arrive before this evening.
But, having said that, the young full-back would be a brilliant signing for the future, with strong interest from the likes of Manchester United also mooted.
Taylor insists that Ramsay’s stats are “unbelievable” and with Cody Drameh leaving to join Cardiff on loan, we need more cover.
Luke Ayling has had his injury worries this season, so another problem would leave us with nothing in reserve.
Ramsay arriving would be another brilliant youthful signing, and the future is still looking bright at Elland Road – will that be in the Premier League if we don’t sign players to make an immediate impact in the first team? We hope so.
