Super Computer predicts if Leeds United will get relegated after loss to Chelsea

Leeds United are predicted to finish 15th in the Premier League after their recent 3-2 defeat against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Whites put up a resolute performance against the Blues, but returned empty-handed from their trip to the capital.

While their form has picked up of late, they still find themselves sitting on the wrong side of the table and in a relegation scrap.

However, FiveThirtyEight have crunched the numbers and give them an 86 per cent chance of staying up which is not a bad position to be in.

Top half possible?

40 is the magic number for survival and it’s predicted that the Whites will finish with 43, which is a comfortable place to be in.

However, they must not write off their chances of finishing in the top half.

They’re currently just four points behind Brentford who sit in 10th place and five clear of Burnley who are 18th.

Rather than looking behind their shoulders, they must look ahead and aim of replicating last season’s second-half run and finish as high as possible.

The Chelsea performance proved that this side can still go toe to toe with the league’s best and give them a run for their money.

Manchester City will certainly be a tougher test, but it will be interesting to see how this team fares against them.

Last season, Leeds got four points off them in their two league games and hopefully, history can repeat itself in this campaign.
