Stan Collymore predicts Leeds United v Leicester City
Leeds United host Leicester City on Sunday afternoon as they look to make it back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time in the 2021-22 campaign.
The Whites got their second win of the season against Norwich City last weekend and will be backing themselves to pip the struggling Foxes to all three points at Elland Road.
Stan Collymore does not see that happening, though, predicting a 2-2 draw in his weekly column.
“Entertaining, bonkers, scrappy game that won’t help either team with where they want to be at this stage,” said Collymore in the print edition of the People [November 7, page 56].
“But the confidence they get out of a draw may well light the blue touch paper for the rest of the campaign.”
Leeds will surely take a draw against Brendan Rodgers’ men, but with just four points between them in the table, the Foxes are there for the taking.
Despite establishing themselves as top-six regulars in recent seasons, Leicester have struggled to get going this term, winning four games and losing four too.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have lost the same number of games and they can definitely hold the visitors to a draw or get the better of them if worst comes to worst.
With both sides set to attack all game, it could be down to who converts the most chances as there would be plenty of them in what is expected to be an entertaining game.
Heading into the international break on the back of a victory will be huge for Leeds, and fans will be confident of their side doing exactly that today.
