Stan Collymore predicts Leeds United scoreline v Nottingham Forest

Leeds United will be looking to pick up their first win in the Premier League after the World cup when they travel to City ground to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday (5 February).

Stan Collymore has been left awestruck with the atmosphere at City Ground this season and writing for the Sunday People (5 February, page 50), he predicts a 2-1 win for the home side.

Leeds are heading into the game on the back of a 3-1 win against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup, but Collymore feels the Whites will be left “looking over their shoulders” after this game.

“If Forest stay up it won’t be because they bought 29 players, it will be the atmosphere at the City Ground that is desperately lacking elsewhere,” wrote Collymore for the Sunday People.

“They will nick this by the odd goal to leave Leeds looking over their shoulders.”

Leeds are 17th in the Premier League table, just one point above Everton, although they have played two games less.

Jesse Marsch appears confident that the Whites won’t be dragged into a relegation battle but the club need to win games in the Premier League.

In recent matches, there are signs that Leeds are heading in the right direction. They were brilliant in their previous game, and now the club must pick up a win in the league to boost their confidence.

The club have backed the manager once again in the transfer market. Leeds signed a left-back, a striker, and a midfielder, and the squad has been heavily bolstered. The results must improve now.

Unfortunately, Lees will be without Rodrigo for the next four to six weeks, and it comes as a huge blow for the club. The Spaniard has been in great form this season, and it’s up to others now to step up in his absence.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now preparing to sign a former Barcelona defender in the summer and have already taken decisive steps towards sealing the deal.
