Sky Sports reporter outside Finch Farm claims Leeds in hunt for £100k/wk Everton attacker
Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor has said that Leeds United have been linked with a move for winger Theo Walcott.
O’Connor was reporting on Everton’s transfer business from outside Finch Farm on Monday afternoon.
Talking on Sky Sports News he said, “Outgoings will be just as important for Everton. Theo Walcott linked to Leeds, Fabian Delph linked with Burnley. More incomings for Everton but just as important they bring the squad numbers down.”

Walcott is out of contract in 2021 and is on a reported £100k-a-week at Everton.
Walcott? No thanks
Theo Walcott is a player who’s never lived up to his potential.

He wanted to be a striker at Arsenal but he couldn’t prove to Arsene Wenger that he could make the change, like Gunners legend Thierry Henry had done previously.
The 31-year-old was sold to Everton for £22.5m in January 2018, and he’s been a bit of a disaster since – especially when you consider his £100k-a-week wages.
He’s scored 11 goals and added nine assists in 83 appearances and he only made 17 starts in last season’s Premier League.
We know that Leeds are in the hunt for a winger/number 10 but after only bidding £10m for Ryan Kent we can’t see any way they’d move for a player like Walcott.
In fact, if it was a case of Walcott or no one else this window, we’d probably say that we’re happy with the squad the way it is.
That’s probably best summed up by this tweet from an Everton fan on hearing the news.
It’s the first we’ve heard of a link to Walcott and we think it might be the last, too. We certainly hope so.
