Sky Sports pundit predicts Leeds United-linked Viktor Gyokeres to seal Premier League transfer
Darren Bent believes that Coventry City striker and Leeds United target Viktor Gyokeres will be a Premier League player one way or another.
In a discussion on talkSPORT, Leeds were among the teams thrown into the mix and Bent, who’s also a pundit for Sky Sports, said that if Coventry do not get promoted, a top flight club will end up signing him up.
This season, the Sweden international has bagged 19 goals and provided six assists in all competitions.
Bent said, “I like Viktor Gyokeres. He’s class. He’s already matched last season’s total of 17 goals. Good assists, six this season. Can score all types of goals. He is a player that Coventry don’t go up, he’ll be in the Premier League next season.”
According to TEAMtalk sources [21 February], Leeds are even plotting a move for him in the summer transfer window.

Leeds needed a striker in the January window and that’s when the links to the Championship forward made a lot of sense.
He had been scoring goals for fun in the second tier and it was pretty clear that he had outgrown that challenge.
However, instead of signing him, the Whites went for Geroginio Rutter and shelled out a club-record fee on him.
Now, unless Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo leave in the summer, there’s a chance that no new striker will be brought to Elland Road in the summer.
He’s also not likely to come on the cheap as there will be a number of clubs vying for his services after the season he’s been having thus far.
It’s a good option to have on their radar but we do not expect interest to go any further than that unless and until there’s a major change at the club which currently is not foreseeable.
In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
