Sky Sports pundit blown away by Leeds United defender Junior Firpo v Wolves

David Phillips has been gushing over the start Leeds United defender Junior Firpo has had in the Premier League clash against Wolves.

The Whites have travelled to Molineux on 18 March and took an early lead courtesy of a Jack Harrison goal after Willy Gnonto’s terrific displays.

However, in the third minute, Firpo found himself in a promising attacking position and looked to create a telling goal-scoring opportunity.

Phillips, a Sky Sports pundit, said on the Premier League world feed (18/03, 15:03), “Excellent movement down that left hand side. Good run from Firpo. Nice little touch from Bamford.”

Good game

Both sides looked to be up for this game in the Black Country and it’s good to see that the fans, both home and away are as loud as they can be.

The football is good and so is the tempo and it’s an ideal 3 pm game to watch.

Leeds started strongly and dominated for the first 10-15 minutes, but then the hosts clawed their way back into the game.

They had two or three really impressive opportunities to score, but the Leeds defence and Illan Meslier were up for to the task.

We’re hoping that the Whites start the second as they started the first and get another goal as they really need to pick up three points here.

Wolves are there for the taking and the Whites certainly can go on to get the three points from this one.

In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
