Sky Sports’ Rob Hawthorne and Andy Hinchcliffe were left purring over the skills of Leeds United winger Raphinha in the game at Elland Road tonight.
Raphinha is getting better and better each week out on the wing for Leeds and he set up the second goal of the night, which was finished by Patrick Bamford.
It wasn’t just the Sky Sports men who were left impressed with Raphinha.
Jermaine Beckford tweeted an absolutely sublime bit of skill from Raphinha who left Gary Cahill looking embarrassed.

Talking about Raphinha on the Sky Sports commentary of the game (Monday, 8pm), Hawthorne said that the winger “scared Palace to death”.
Hinchcliffe said of him, “His first touch is absolutely outstanding. Raphinha has been absolutely outstanding in this first half.”
Hinchcliffe also gave him the man of the match award, saying, “Raphina, he’s really playing like he’s been in the Premier League for years.
“His passing, movement, work rate all brilliant. He epitomises the Bielsa gameplan, it’s quality and hard work.”
£17m. That’s how much Leeds paid for Raphinha and it’s already looking like one of the steals of the century.
He was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch today and he just looks sharper and sharper every time he takes to the pitch.
We have no idea what happened with Rennes for them to sell him after a year for less than they paid for him, but their loss is our gain.
If our long-term aim is the Champions League, Raphinha is a player who already looks suited to that level.
A report this week claimed that Liverpool were interested in him and Athletic journalist Phil Hay said that it was inevitable that there would be interest in him in the summer if he carries on playing like this.
keeping hold of him might be a test but it’s one Leeds will have to take head-on if they have real aspirations of breaking into the top six.
