Simon Jordan makes Leeds United relegation prediction as Sam Allardyce set to be appointed as manager

Simon Jordan believes Leeds United will still be relegated from the Premier League despite Sam Allardyce’s appointment as manager for the final four games.

The Whites appointed the former England boss after Javi Gracia lost four of his last five games, conceding 23 goals in April alone.

Leeds sit outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone with four games remaining of the season and face tough fixtures, and while appearing on talkSPORT with Jim White (2 May) Jordan admitted he can’t see how Allardyce saves the team from the drop.

“Do Leeds survive with Sam at the helm?” Jim White asked.

“You want my guy feel on it? No,” Jordan replied.

“Unless 33 points is going to keep you in the league. If 33 points keeps you in the league then there’s a possibility.

“If it’s anything more than 33 points I’m struggling. I’m struggling to see where they [get points]. I cannot make a case. I don’t care which parallel universe you care to exist in, I can’t see them getting anything out of Newcastle or Manchester City. Those will be absolute sea changes.

“Then you’ve got West Ham and Tottenham. Now, West Ham might be in a European final and might not be as motivated by this game.

“What Tottenham are who knows. So from that point of view, I just think that Leeds are falling like a stone and this is the conundrum that they have.”

Together

It’s not often that we say this, but it’s really difficult not to agree with Jordan on this occasion as it stands.

Leeds United

Manchester City are fighting for the title and look unbeatable right now, while Newcastle are flying in their battle for the top four currently. Getting even a point from those two games would be a huge bonus given our recent form and performances.

Tottenham is also a very tough fixture, especially considering the quality they have in their squad, but the way they have performed recently there is a chance of getting something if Allardyce can have an effect.

As for West Ham, they’re also still in the relegation battle currently and while their position is better than ours right now until they’re mathematically safe they will be looking to get points.

Essentially we need to cause a big shock and hope other teams fumble to stay up. It’s not over until it’s over, but it’s a massive uphill task right now.

In other Leeds news, a seven-figure bonus is set to be handed out as backroom exits are confirmed.
