Simon Jordan launches passionate defence of Marcelo Bielsa as Jim White poses Leeds United sack question

Simon Jordan has launched a passionate defence of Marcelo Bielsa despite the slump of form at Leeds United.

The Whites are currently struggling in the Premier League with the majority of their squad ruled out through injury or illness.

As the likes of Danny Murphy called for El Loco to change his style once again, Jordan shut those arguments down perfectly.

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning (20th December), Jordan launched a passionate defence of Bielsa as pressure started to rise.

“His beliefs – he isn’t compromising them for the media,” he said.

“He’s going to run this team and he’s going to live and die by his decisions, that’s a manager.”

Jim White reacted and asked if Jordan was the owner, would he sit back and allow this kind of form to continue.

“If you were Radrizzani, would you be going with that hook, line and sinker?”

Without letting the host finish his question, the co-host was straight on his microphone with a passionate defence.

“He’s earned the right to say I’m going to live and die by my decision-making processes and we will be fine.”

Embarrassing.

Bielsa shouldn’t have to be spoken about in this manner, and it is purely disrespectful of the way White was carrying on this morning.

Consistently asking if El Loco should be sacked despite everything he has done for the club is simply wrong.

Even with all these injuries and the crisis going on, the Whites are still not in the relegation zone, and have a six-point buffer, regardless of games-in-hand.

No manager could negate a run of fixtures against Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal with 10 senior players out of action – Newcastle have been battered twice this week with their full-strength squad available.

White will be one of the first ones to admit he’s wrong once Bielsa turns it around, which we have full confidence in him doing once our full squad is back firing.
