Simon Jordan explodes at Victor Orta as tragic Leeds United relegation looms in Premier League

Simon Jordan has exploded at Victor Orta for the role he has played at the demise of Leeds United in the Premier League this season.

The talkSPORT pundit insisted that rather than having altercations in the stands, he should have had them in the boardroom to sign more players in January.

Leeds are currently one point ahead of Burnley in that final relegation place, but Jordan admitted that he still believes the Whites will be tragically relegated.

Speaking on talkSPORT’s One to One as posted on YouTube, Jordan was asked who would be to blame should Leeds end up in the Championship again.

“I’m not sure the sporting director is the greatest,” he said.

“I see him having altercations in the stands, would he be better off having altercations in the boardroom that they needed to have bought in January to help the cause.

“So, I think tragically, it looks like it’s going to be Leeds. What a waste.”

Tragic.

Orta, alongside Andrea Radrizzani, certainly has many questions to answer.

What happened in January? Why did we put all of our eggs on Brenden Aaronson?

RB Salzburg clearly admitted that they didn’t want to sell in the winter window and instead wait for the summer, so Orta should have had a long list of players ready to go in case.

A new central midfielder and new striker have been needed for years now, and yet neither area has been targeted.

This season saw that backfire tremendously, with Kalvin Phillips, Adam Forshaw and Patrick Bamford suffering constant injuries that have kept them out for many months.

Orta and Radrizzani will be praying that Burnley lose their last two games against Aston Villa and Newcastle, if they do that, Leeds will survive.

Will this failure of a season be swept under the carpet if we survive? Radrizzani and Orta need to pull their finger out in the market to make sure it never happens again first.
