Simon Jordan baffled by what he’s heard about Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa

Simon Jordan has silenced critics of Marcelo Bielsa who claim that he faced a language barrier at Leeds United.

The Argentine did the seemingly impossible job of getting the Whites back into the Premier League.

However, due to a recent of bad results, he was shown the door by the Elland Road hierarchy.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan, Jordan said, “Before the wheels came off a bit, people waxed lyrical about him.

“We see how he communicates with the players. They were arguably the league’s most entertaining team. When your message is being imparted to lesser set of ears, they don’t comprehend it as required.

“He turned Leeds from a side outside the Premier League for 17 years into a team that got up and everyone said ‘wow’.”

Jim White asked him, “Do Marsch and Leeds avoid the drop?”

He responded, “I can’t help but think they will and that might be because I imagine Leeds in my mind as a big club.”

Spot on

It’s baffling to even suggest that he got sacked because of the language barrier.

Leeds were one of the best drilled teams in the league and we would’ve seen a repeat of last season had there not been so many injuries.

However, Bielsa continue with his style of football even when he did not have the right players for it.

That’s part of the reason why he ended up losing his job, but the players understood him perfectly.

He does know how to speak English but just does not fancy giving interviews in it as he can be misinterpreted.
