Phil Hay shares what Jesse Marsch did after Leeds United v Leicester

Phil Hay saw Jesse Marsch doing the Leeds United salute after their loss against Leicester on Saturday afternoon.

The travelling support also gave their players a good reception despite their 1-0 defeat on the day.

They were clearly impressed with the changes the American had brought about at the club since taking over.

Via his personal Twitter account, Hay wrote, “A lot that was encouraging about the performance and in no way outplayed but the challenge for Marsch was always that results need to come quickly.

“Schmeichel save from Raphinha a big moment. Should have taken something from that.

“Good reception for the players at full-time. Someone has taught Marsch the Leeds salute. Massive week coming up now – Villa and Norwich at home, back to back.”

Big week ahead

Leeds have everything to fight for this coming week and they require four points out of six, at the very least.

There were signs of improvement against Leicester and the fans will want more of the same until the end of the season.

The team looked more organised without the ball and should have taken a point from this game.

Hopefully, with Patrick Bamford back, they will be more ruthless in front of goal.

Marsch has done well to get these players drilled to his philosophy but his job has only just begun and there still is a long way to go.

In other Leeds United news, a former Whites midfielder has joked that he’s open to a return to Elland Road.
