'Shambles' - Amitai Winehouse destroys Leeds United owners

Athletic Journalist Amitai Winehouse has emptied both barrels on the Leeds United owners decision making amid the team’s terrible form.

Andrea Radrizanni and co made the decision to sack club legend Marcelo Bielsa to save the Whites from relegation.

The decision wasn’t taken lightly by the fans and an equally disappointing start new manager Jesse Marsch has made at Elland Road has left the club’s chiefs in the firing line.

He wrote on his personal Twitter: “The same people who made Rodrigo our most expensive signing ever, approved that badge, sent us to Myanmar and oversaw the shambles of last summer have sacked the best manager of my lifetime and made this lot worse.

“Incredibly surprising”

It seemed like a big mistake at the time and a couple of weeks into the American’s reign it seems even bigger.

The fact of the matter is the Leeds United squad has been plagued with injuries this season and the players that have played just haven’t been good enough.

Bielsa was reluctant to change his system which was reliant on key players such as Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford and the lads who came in for them and all of the other absent players simply weren’t up to it.

Marsch now has the exact same team so it would be very difficult to flip the switch in less than two weeks.

That isn’t a dig at them because it is a very hard system to play, especially if you are just thrown into the deep end against Premier League opposition.

They certainly looked better against Leicester but last night’s result was worrying.

Nobody wanted to see the Argentine leave and he will forever go down in history for what he did at the club, but the fact of the matter is that he is gone now, and the fans must do their best to get behind Marsch.

In other Leeds United news, Jesse Marsch shares an injury update on Junior Firpo.
