Roger Gonzalez: Sources say Leeds still in talks with RB Salzburg for Brenden Aaronson today
Roger Gonzalez has shared that sources have told him that Leeds United are still in talks with RB Salzburg for Brenden Aaronson today (31 January).
The CBS reporter has reported that those talks are nearly all about a move in the summer, rather than a last-gasp switch.
Aaronson is currently away with the United States national side and will be going nowhere before the window slams shut.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Gonzalez shared what sources have told him about a move for Aaronson as talks continue.
“Brenden Aaronson update: Sources tell CBS Sports that negotiations continue between Leeds and RB Salzburg, but I’m told that those talks have shifted to a potential move in the summer,” he wrote.
“Austrian club want him for their Champions League knockout stage journey, and he’s set to stay.”
Talks ongoing.
So, it looks as though Leeds are still in talks with RB Salzburg as late as today.
Despite that, it will mean nothing with regards to any business before the 11 pm deadline this evening in England.
Leeds and Victor Orta looked to have spent all their time trying to get the best deal for Aaronson in the summer during talks this month, rather than moving on for now.
What is wrong with having a long list of targets and bringing a fresh face in on loan until the end of the season?
Our options in midfield are bare as they are, nevermind with the injury crisis ripping through our squad as things stand.
It’s a miracle we are where we are at this moment given the problems Marcelo Bielsa has had to face, and he hasn’t been given any help this month.
We don’t think it will, but if something goes badly wrong between now and the end of the season and relegation becomes a real possibility, there will be questions that need asking.
