Rodrigo de Paul is fast turning into the last big transfer story of the window for Leeds United and fans are desperate for information.

The trail has gone cold over the past few days but that could be set to change imminently.

TMW has reported that De Paul’s agent is set to jet into Italy for talks over the next few days for talks with interested clubs.

According to Messaggero Venuto, the player is dreaming of a move to Juventus but, in what must be a big boost to Leeds, it doesn’t look like that is on the cards.

TMW claim that Fiorentina, Leeds and Milan are in the hunt for the midfielder.

Gianluca Di Marzio had claimed that the Leeds owners were in talks with Udinese owner Gino Pozzo over the player.

And Di Marzio journalist David Amoyal poured more cold water on a Juve move on Wednesday night, saying that the Italian giants hadn’t been linked to the player in a while.

He added that there was nothing for Leeds fans to worry about at this moment, saying “these things take time”.

Final piece of the puzzle

Leeds fans have been worried about the news that De Paul wants a move to Juventus but nothing has come up recently to say that they are interested.

They’re busy trying to work out a deal for Luis Suarez at the moment.

Italian journalist Clara Alburquerque said that Juventus had never shown much interest in the player.

Other clubs are interested but Leeds must be a draw, with the Premier League and Marcelo Bielsa on offer. The 17-cap Argentina international will know all about Bielsa.

Leeds United have “genuine interest” in Rodrigo De Paul, according to Atheltic journalist Phil Hay, but they have other irons in the fire.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth said the priority for the rest of the window is an attacking midfielder/winger.

Rangers will probably be watching this saga with interest too. If De Paul falls through we could see Leeds going back in for Ryan Kent.
