Rodrigo and Raphinha nowhere to be seen among Leeds United squad at Tottenham
Leeds United duo Rodrigo and Raphinha are nowhere to be seen at Tottenham ahead of the match in North London on Sunday, according to Graham Smyth.
Writing on his Twitter account ahead of the game, the Yorkshire Evening Post journalist reported that there’s “no sign” of the two attackers, dealing a massive blow for Leeds.
It is understood that youngster Archie Gray has travelled to North London with the squad. However the 15-year-old is not going to be in the actual matchday squad.
This is a massive new blow for Leeds, who will already be without Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling at Tottenham.
Junior Firpo, Jamie Shackleton and Robin Koch are also set to miss out of the match so for Rodrigo and Raphinha to be missing too is a monumental setback for Marcelo Bielsa.
Leeds have suffered so badly with injuries this season yet the senior squad size is so small.
We’ve no idea how the Whites will line up without Rodrigo and Raphinha. Maybe Joe Gelhardt and Tyler Roberts will come in if they’re able to start.
Hopefully there’s a back door that Rodrigo and Raphinha have snuck into but this doesn’t sound promising at all.
This could be a very long afternoon for us Leeds fans.
Raphinha has five goals in 10 Premier League matches this season, easily making him our top goalscorer.
Rodrigo has been getting better and better while playing in the attack so to be without both of them is really gutting.
If this doesn’t show Bielsa that he needs to add to the squad in January, nothing will.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has predicted the starting line-up.
