Robin Koch wowed by Leeds United defender Cody Drameh in Spain training camp
Robin Koch has been stunned by Leeds United talent Cody Drameh after he impressed him in training, as reported by Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Whites are currently in Spain as a part of training as they entered the next phase of their preparations ahead of the Premier League restart, against Manchester City on 28 December.
In an intense training session, Drameh made a brilliant interception and put his team on the front foot, and it was appreciated by Koch, who said “great decision”.
“Cody Drameh jumped out of position to intercept a pass and put his team on the front foot, albeit before being fouled by a two-man opposition response that included a grinning Crysencio Summerville. ‘Great decision,’ came the shout from Drameh’s nearest centre-back, Robin Koch,” reports Graham Smyth for YEP.
Drameh is one of two right-backs involved in the camp, and the youngster has been making some headlines in the press ahead of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old has made just two appearances for the Whites this season, and he has reportedly grown frustrated with the lack of opportunities at the club.
TeamTalk journalist Graeme Bailey reported on 2 December that Newcastle, West Ham, and Crystal Palace are vying for his signature. He is being wanted by clubs in Germany and France as well.
Drameh is an exciting talent and it will be a big loss for the club to lose him. Yorkshire Evening Post [28 November] reported that Leeds will be parting ways with the 20-year-old in January, but it seems he is still part of Jesse Marsch’s plans.
Luke Ayling is in the twilight years of his career, and Drameh could be his long-term replacement at the club.
If he impresses in training in Spain, the Whites should look to tie him down on a long-term deal. His current contract runs until 2024, and there’s still time for the Whites to convince him to stay put.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are aiming to get this “human wrecking ball” out of Elland Road in January.
