Rob Green predicts Leeds clash v West Ham, claims one area 'Critical' for the Whites

Rob Green has claimed that Leeds United must be better defensively to beat West Ham United in the Premier League on Friday.

The Whites welcome David Moyes’ men to Elland Road after the disappointing 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Green claimed that there are “no reasons” why Marcelo Bielsa’s side can’t pick up all three points, but they must be more clinical in both areas.

When asked on LUTV if Leeds can get the three points against another of his former sides, Green believed so: “No reason why not,” he said.

“It’s one of those games you go into and say if we do the right things at the right time, and the critical one in the Premier League, clinical at both ends.

“You look at Saturday, there was a set-piece in there that cost Leeds, that’s another big thing, I think that’s going to be key this weekend.”

Set-pieces have always been a problem for Leeds ever since Bielsa arrived at Elland Road.

Looking at the Chelsea game, Olivier Giroud and Kurt Zouma won nearly every single header and it caused the Whites all sorts of problems.

According to WyScout, Giroud had two chances from corners in the opening 10 minutes alone and the likes of Liam Cooper must be better defensively.

This is also a big challenge against West Ham.

With Michail Antonio ruled out, Sebastien Haller could start at Elland Road. The Ivorian wins an average of over four aerial duels per game according to WhoScored.

The Whites must be better in this area, and it will be one area that the Irons are certainly going to target at Elland Road.
