RB Salzburg still mulling over new Leeds United bid for Brenden Aaronson
RB Salzburg are still mulling over a new bid from Leeds United for Brenden Aaronson this week, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper have reported in their print edition (22/01) that the Austrian side are yet to give the Whites an answer.
Leeds are said to have placed a £20million offer for the American international, with his current club reluctant to sell.
RB Salzburg, by the looks of things, have not given an immediate answer to Leeds and their improved offer.
The Austrian side will be mulling things over knowing that this would give them a serious profit on the 21-year-old.
Victor Orta will not have jetted over to Austria if there wasn’t an indication that a deal could be done this week.
The Sporting Director is a busy man at Elland Road, and it looks as though he has put his eggs in one basket with less than 10 days now remaining.
This is it.
It looks as though Leeds have found the breakthrough they were looking for.
Reading between the lines, surely Salzburg would have immediately swatted the offer away if they weren’t tempted to sell.
This is another huge sum of money and fits into their financial plan perfectly given how they have sold the likes of Patson Daka and Erling Haaland in recent years for a big profit.
Leeds upping their bid to £20million may have twisted their hand, and now it is time to really push this one over the line.
It’s been nearly more than 48 hours since this over was put in, and it will have been done face-to-face, so a yes is all that is missing.
Time to push this one over the line, Victor.
