Razor Ruddock predicts who’ll win Championship title out of Leeds and West Brom
Neil “Razor” Ruddock has backed Leeds United to win the Championship title this season and win promotion to the Premier League.
As it stands, the Whites are top of the Championship table, one point clear of the Baggies who are six points ahead of third-placed Fulham.
With nine matches left to play, Marcelo Bielsa’s men are firm favourites to secure automatic promotion and seal the second-tier title.
When asked on Twitter who he sees winning the league crown, former Liverpool and West Ham defender Ruddock had no doubt that it would be Leeds who finish above West Brom.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Ruddock simply said: “Leeds Leeds Leeds.” He also tagged his former Liverpool team-mate Dominic Matteo, who also played for the Whites, in his tweet.
We have to agree with Ruddock because Leeds are the best team in the Championship and, on what we have seen so far, deserve to win the league title.
However if football does resume and we finish second, who cares? At he end of the day, promotion is all that matters and if it’s West Brom, Fulham or Nottingham Forest who finish above the Whites, it does not matter as long as Bielsa’s men are second and are granted promotion into the Premier League next season.
Still, it would be nice to end 16 years of anguish by picking up some silverware in the process.
