Raphinha shares quarantine message, Phil Hay reacts to Leeds United fan concerns
Phil Hay has allayed concerns about Raphinha’s Instagram post with the Leeds United winger in quarantine.
Raphinha, 24, missed Leeds’ defeat to Southampton on Saturday after arriving late back from international duty with Brazil.
Due to COVID, Raphinha has had to go into self-isolation, with the Brazilian winger on Monday night showing that via his personal Instagram account.

After a panicked Leeds United fan brought that post to the attention of The Athletic journalist Hay, he responded to say that while Raphinha is in self-isolation, he can still play and train for the Whites.
Ridiculous situation
How does this make sense?
Raphinha is allowed to fly halfway around the world after playing for Brazil in the early hours of Friday morning and could technically have been in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad at Southampton on Saturday.
He’s also allowed to train with the squad and play this weekend against Wolves but when he’s not training or playing, he’s got to self-isolate.
Raphinha can mix with Leeds players who can mix with other people to their hearts’ content but when that’s done, he’s got to sit at home by himself.
This is just plain stupid and either shows how ridiculous this COVID measures are or shows that footballers are being allowed to get away with things that the average Joe cannot.
Raphinha will hopefully be ok. We need him back when Leeds play Wolves next.
But this is just stupid.
In other Leeds United news, fans want this player gone after his shocker against Southampton with one saying the Whites should “give him away”.
