Leeds United could finally secure promotion to the Premier League on Easter Monday.

Daniel Farke's side are in pole position to return to the top-flight of English football after a two-year absence.

They have had a huge turnaround in recent weeks after a torrid run and find themselves potentially within three points of promotion.

They could seal the deal with two matches left if results go their way on a pivotal day of Championship action on 21 April.

How Leeds can seal Premier League promotion

With Sheffield United and Burnley facing off, it could be a very good day for the Whites regardless but it will be even better if they can secure a Premier League berth.

If Leeds beat Stoke at Elland Road (15:00 GMT) then Chris Wilder's side need to beat the Clarets (17:30 GMT) to have any chance of catching them.

If the Blades are defeated or draw and Farke's side win, they will be promoted with two games to spare as they will have 94 points and the maximum that the Steel City outfit could reach would be either 92 or 93.

Leeds need to beat Stoke

No matter what happens in the other clash, Leeds need to ensure that they win on home turf and keep the pressure on their rivals.

The Turf Moor outfit could give them a huge favour but if the Peacocks fail to beat the Potters it will mean very little.

The race for promotion.

The Elland Road outfit would still be in a great position to secure promotion if Wilder's side win, as they would still have a two point advantage with six left to play for.

However, that would mean that they would have to wait for confirmation which would only increase the nerves among supporters and the squad after the heartache of last season when they lost to Southampton in the playoff final.

It has been a rollercoaster season but the Whites have dominated the second tier and deserve to be back in the top-flight.

Hopefully, results go their way and there can be a huge party on Easter Monday without any further setbacks.
