Portsmouth star sends two-word message to Abu Kamara after Hull goals v Leeds
Abu Kamara received a two-word message from Kusini Yengi after his goalscoring performance in the 3-3 draw between Hull City and Leeds United at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.
The 21-year-old opened the scoring five minutes into the game on 4 January and later netted Hull’s third with just one minute left on the clock.
Kamara’s performance against the Championship table-toppers earned him rave reviews on social media, with Portsmouth’s Yengi among those to tip their hat to him.
“Bang, bang!”, Yengi wrote on Instagram (4 January) with two fire emojis and clapping emojis each.
Abu Kamara forces Leeds United to wait for first win of 2025
It is worth noting that Yengi knows Kamara from their together at Portsmouth last season, when the latter was on a season-long there.
Meanwhile, Kamara’s brace on Saturday means Daniel Farke’s side have to continue the wait for their first win of the calendar year.
Having begun 2025 with a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers, Leeds had a good chance to add three points to the board after taking a two-goal lead against Hull.
However, late goals from Joao Pedro and Kamara, with some help from Illan Meslier’s mistakes, saw the West Yorkshire outfit drop two points against the Tigers.
That means Burnley and Sheffield United have reduced the gap with the Elland Road outfit to just one point.

Farke and co, therefore, cannot rest on their laurels if they want to secure automatic promotion this season.
It remains to be seen if they can return to winning ways when they host Sheffield Wednesday at home in the Championship on 19 January.
In the meantime, they face Harrogate Town in the third round of the FA Cup this Saturday, 11 January.
