Phil Hay shares Leeds United transfer news with player sales to hit double figures
Phil Hay has shared that Leeds United player sales would likely hit double figures in the summer if the club are relegated from the Premier League.
The Athletic journalist named some that would likely leave with Illan Meslier, Robin Koch, Luis Sinisterra and Weston McKennie just four of those.
Despite relegation being likely, Hay did insist that the club would be very keen to keep Tyler Adams and Wilfried Gnonto if that was possible in the Championship.

Writing in his latest piece for The Athletic, Hay shared what he believes could happen should the Whites drop down as expected this weekend.
“Departures from Elland Road in the coming window could well run into double figures if Leeds are relegated,” he wrote.
“There are some who Leeds would be very keen to retain, though. McKennie’s fellow USA midfielder Tyler Adams is one. They would be reluctant to lose Wilfried Gnonto too, though his performances have put him on the radar of clubs in Europe.”

Expected.
As usually is the case, relegation tends to mean that clubs have to sell many of their prized assets.
Watford have managed to keep hold of Ismaila Sarr and Aston Villa kept hold of Jack Grealish longer than expected, so it is possible that the likes of Adams and Gnonto could stay.
If you asked Leeds fans which two players they would love to keep, that duo would likely be the players that are more often than not named.
Adams was given a chance by Leeds after going stale at RB Leipzig, and given he has missed the majority of the business part of this season through injury, he may feel as though he owes the club.
As for Gnonto, Leeds dragged him from Switzerland and Zurich to play in the Premier League when others deemed him to be too expensive after he left Inter Milan.
Hopefully, Leeds can keep a real core of players even if they do have to sell some of their bigger names, with the core of younger players ready to step in already.
