Phil Hay responds when quizzed on Leeds United alternatives for Brenden Aaronson
Phil Hay has been quizzed on whether Leeds United have any alternatives for RB Salzburg attacker Brenden Aaronson in January.
The Athletic journalist has insisted that the American international is “the one” the Whites are in for, with a bid already rejected.
Victor Orta is looking for major signings with nearly 10 days remaining in the window this month at Elland Road.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hay was quizzed by a concerned fan surrounding the possibility of the deal.
The reliable journalist responded with an update as things stand, meaning that there is the possibility of that changing.
“At this stage, he’s the one they’re in for,” he wrote.

Hay didn’t mention if there were any alternatives, and it looks as though Leeds are going all in for this one.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look straightforward at this moment in time with Salzburg pushing to keep their man.
The Austrian club have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League, and with that coming up, they will want their best players available.
Leeds fans are clearly concerned regarding the possibility of this deal happening, with not much time left to get another transfer in the works.
The Whites are crying out for another option in the middle of the park, and it looks as though they have put all of their eggs in one basket.
