Phil Hay makes admission after what he saw in Leeds United loss v Crystal Palace
Phil Hay believes that Leeds United fans are actually worried about getting relegated from the Premier League this season.
This comes after the Whites suffered a 5-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at home in what was a relegation six-pointer on Sunday, 9 March.
The Athletic journalist does not fancy the Whites to have much luck against Liverpool too, who are gunning for a top-four finish.
Hay told the Square Ball at 11:03, “People are anxious. There are certain fixtures that you know you should take something from. The game against Liverpool might potentially yield nothing and the table may shift again. They are not in the bottom three, but they are right there to target and that’s a concern.”
Six points at least from games after Liverpool?
It’s fair to write off the game against Liverpool and anything that they can get from it will be considered a huge bonus.

However, after that, they’ve got Fulham, Leicester and Bournemouth – three games that they’ve got a chance to win.
While Fulham have had a better season than many thought they would, they’ve still got weaknesses and aren’t as consistent as some of the top sides.
For Leicester and Bournemouth, both are in the midst of a period of uncertainty and there’s a good chance to capitalise on the situation.
Javi Gracia will know that the Palace display was unacceptable but at the same time, will not be losing heart as there’s plenty left to play for.
