Phil Hay: Leeds transfer for John Swift ‘could be done’ in January
Phil Hay has insisted that a Leeds United move for Reading playmaker John Swift “could be done” in January.
The midfielder has stormed the Championship once again this season in a Royals side that has struggled around him.
Hay shared that the former Chelsea man is admired by Marcelo Bielsa and is in the right price bracket for the Whites.

Speaking this week as shared by Leeds United News on Twitter, Hay shared that this move could certainly happen and appears to tick all of the boxes.
“It seems like the sort of option that could be done, in the sort of price bracket they would want to get into, with the sort of player Bielsa likes,” he said.
“He does like Swift.”

Get him in.
Leeds need midfielders, and Swift could start a busy January.
The 26-year-old has been on fire this season, scoring eight goals and assisting a further nine in 21 Championship appearances.
The Star have already reported this season that the Whites are plotting a bid next month in order to beat the competition to this signing.
With Swift’s contract up in the summer, the Royals could certainly consider a bid worth millions rather than losing him for nothing in a few months time.
Victor Orta has to prove his worth yet again at Elland Road after his ridiculous outburst after the draw against Brentford, and this would be a brilliant start.
With injuries ravaging our squad and relegation rearing its ugly head, it’s time to get business done in January, whether the likes of Bielsa like it or not.
