Phil Hay: Leeds boardroom is one to keep an eye on after Andrea Radrizzani interview
Phil Hay has insisted that Leeds United are set for more investment from the San Francisco 49ers this season at the earliest.
The Athletic journalist shared that if it doesn’t happen in this campaign, it should next summer as the NFL franchise look to take more control.
Andrea Radrizzani and Paraag Marathe have had a long friendship, and it looks as though they are both preparing for another equity split change.

Speaking on the Phil Hay Show this morning, the reliable journalist shared the major update on the ownership stakes.
“They do get on very well and they have done from the start,” he said.
“There was a personal friendship between Radrizzani and Paraag Marathe going back to the time before the 49ers first bought in.
“It’s something to keep an eye on really as to where the boardroom is going to go next and how the equity split is going to change.
“I think we will see investment again this season, or at least next summer which would change the division of equity between the 49ers and Radrizzani.”

New face.
Well, it looks as though we are going to be seeing a lot more of Marathe around Elland Road in the years to come.
Radrizzani currently holds 63% of the Whites, with the 49ers having 37% after their second investment in the club.
Another round of pumping money into the club would surely take that closer to 50% and a complete split with Radrizzani – something that would clearly work given their close friendship.
This is exciting, especially looking at their value jumping 20% in the past year to $4.2billion – the fifth highest in the NFL [Biz Journal].
With Radrizzani once again stating the goal was to progress and eventually end up in Europe, this growing partnership will be vital to improving the squad and the facilities – bring it on.
