Phil Hay: Chances of Bielsa leaving Leeds almost zero after Mark Chapman question
Phil Hay has insisted that the chances of Marcelo Bielsa quitting Leeds United are “almost zero” this season.
Mark Chapman has been left questioning why El Loco is not linked to big Premier League jobs such as the Tottenham post which came available this week.
Antonio Conte is set to take that job, with Bielsa being classed as extremely loyal to the cause at Elland Road.

Speaking on The Athletic Football Podcast, Chapman posed the initial question about Bielsa and why he isn’t linked to other jobs more.
“Is he seen as impossible to get out of Leeds?” he said. “Thomas Frank, I’ve seen linked with other jobs, he’s only just got Brentford promoted.
“He [Bielsa] is linked with nothing, I don’t see him on any list of any club – Tottenham being the prime example.
Hay responded to that emphatically and insisted that the chances of El Loco walking out are almost zero this season.
“I think there are two sides to this – the first is, he’s an intensely loyal guy so the likelihood of him walking out midway through a contract to take another job is almost zero.”

No chance.
Bielsa is simply going nowhere, and certainly not now.
El Loco has made Yorkshire his home, and that is why he has managed more club games here than any other club throughout his career.
You saw the relief at the full-time whistle on Sunday after the 2-1 win at Norwich, he said a little prayer and likely went straight to the drawing board for the Leicester game at the weekend.
There were slight whispers surrounding the Barcelona role in recent years, but it never went past anything more than that.
We’re confident that Bielsa could even stay another year if it is offered to him, and if he navigates us to another season in the Premier League, why would he go anywhere?
There’s a reason why none of us are worried about Bielsa, he is here for the long time and he has delivered everything and more already.
