Paul Robinson: Leeds need to make four signings in January to avoid relegation

Paul Robinson has insisted that Leeds United need to make four signings in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Whites fell to defeat against Spurs on Sunday leaving them hovering above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Robinson, a regular on Sky Sports, has shared that Leeds need a goalkeeper, two midfielders and an attacker at Elland Road.

Speaking to Stadium Astro over on YouTube in the past 24 hours, Robinson insisted that these signings are needed to avoid relegation.

“They need an experienced goalkeeper as a back-up,” he said.

“They need cover for Kalvin Phillips, they need a defensive midfielder, a central midfielder and they need cover for Patrick Bamford.

“They have to go into the market in January and get that if they want to stay in the league this year.”

Orta busy.

It looks as though Victor Orta will be busy in January if this is the case.

Unfortunately, we can’t see that happening – certainly not four new faces, although there may be a change in approach.

Bielsa doesn’t like to make signings in the winter market, but a new midfielder and attacker may certainly be on the cards.

A new goalkeeper certainly won’t happen, Kristoffer Klaesson arrived in the summer and will be backed if anything happens to Illan Meslier.

Given our injury issues in midfield and to Patrick Bamford, both need addressing and two signings would be welcome by anyone at Elland Road if asked.

Get it done.
