Pascal Struijk arrives with Leeds United squad v Cardiff after injury
Leeds United star Pascal Struijk arrived with the squad ahead of the Cardiff City clash, according to Adam Pope.
The Whites have been without their star man in defence for four Championship matches since he scored against Blackburn in a 1-1 draw (1 January).
The Dutchman posted a social media hint ahead of the contest on Saturday (1 February) that he would be included in the squad for the Elland Road clash.
The BBC reporter shared the update in a post on X, saying: “Struijk here with the squad.”
Struijk return a huge boost for Leeds United
The 25-year-old is arguably the best defender in the second-tier and his return to action will be a major boost for Daniel Farke’s side.
The Elland Road outfit are hoping to extend their two-point lead at the summit of the division and take a step closer to securing an automatic promotion berth.
The Whites have kept a clean sheet in their last three league games without Struijk but his contributions at the other end of the pitch have been missed.

The Dutch defender has scored three times for Farke’s side this campaign and they missed his aerial abilities in the opposition box in the 0-0 draw with Burnley (27 January).
The return of their star man should give the team more balance with Ethan Ampadu able to return to a more familiar midfield role.
That will help to maintain their balance and give them a more solid presence in both positions and ultimately help their promotion push.
