Paraag Marathe has revealed the San Francisco 49ers goal to dominate sports globally with the help of Leeds United.
The NFL franchise have expanded their stake at Elland Road to 37% this season and could take that even further in the future alongside Andrea Radrizzani.
Marathe has shared that he wants to make it so that when anyone is looking to expand their brand, they choose the 49ers to do just that.
Speaking to Sportico, Marathe shared his vision to break the global market with the 49ers in years to come and Leeds are heavily involved.
“We have so many resources and blueprints we can export with relative ease, plugging into the Leeds business to help them grow on and off the pitch,” he said. “I do this in my sleep.
“With cricket and with Leeds we—49ers Enterprises—were able to plant the flag about who we are and what we do.
“NFL-wise, the next frontier for us to potentially really expand globally. The 49ers will be at the front if he has his way. I want it to be known that when someone is looking to do something, to connect with us.”
In the same interview, Marathe admits that the main goal is to bring the Whites back into the big-six clubs of the Premier League and this season has been a good start.
Along that route, the 49ers experience of building a new stadium will help Leeds follow that route and create a new arena to replace Elland Road.
Marathe and Radrizzani have proved they are a great team and their interviews prove that they are the right people for the job, and the club is certainly in safe hands.
With the 49ers expanding their brand globally, that will only do the same for the Whites and that will bring bigger players and partnerships to the club; the future is certainly bright.
