Nikola Vlasic: Leeds United are hard to play against
West Ham forward Nikola Vlasic has suggested that Leeds United have a unique style of playing.
The Whites will face the Hammers away from home in the Premier League clash on Sunday.
The two sides met in the FA Cup clash last week (9 January), where Leeds were beaten 2-0 by David Moyes’s side.
Vlasic has been left surprised by Leeds’ stuttering form this season. However, he admits that the Whites are a tough team to beat.
“I’m a little bit surprised [Leeds have struggled this season], but they are still a good team,” said Vlasic, as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post.
“We played them in the FA Cup and it was a hard game because they play a unique style of football, man on man all over the pitch, so it’s really hard to play against them, but it’s also really hard for them to play every game like that so we’ll see what happens at the weekend.

“Of course, last weekend’s game against them helps us. We analysed that game and saw what we did good and what we can improve.”
Big game
Leeds will be looking to shake off their FA Cup defeat and give West Ham a tough fight on Sunday.
After a series of heavy defeats, the Whites returned to winning ways in the league with a 3-1 victory over Burnley at the start of this month.
It’s time for them to build momentum but it won’t be an easy game.
Leeds, on their day, can be devasting but they have shown vulnerabilities at the back.
West Ham are defensively very solid and they are buzzing at the moment having won four games in a row, including three wins in the Premier League.
The Hammers are strong opposition at home, and it will need a strong performance from the visitors to get something from this game.
Leeds find them in 16th position in the league.
