MOT View: Cowley clearly gutted as Huddersfield 'warrior' confirmed missing v Leeds
Huddersfield Town manager Danny Cowley has confirmed that midfielder Jonathan Hogg will miss the upcoming clash with Leeds United.
The Terriers boss was clearly gutted when revealing the news, as one of his most experienced players will be absent at Elland Road.
It is believed that Chelsea loanee Trevoh Chalobah will now partner Lewis O’Brien in holding midfield to try and stop the likes of Pablo Hernandez.
Having an experienced head at the base of your midfield who is capable of making the game scrappy could be a key part of getting on top of Leeds – something Cowley will have been hoping would happen.
“Tomorrow is too soon,” he told the Yorkshire Post on Friday.
“You always miss him. He is a warrior, a fighter and carries the DNA of the club in his blood.”

Pablo Hernandez and Mateusz Klich have been the two standout players recently, and the absence of Hogg could play a massive role in the outcome of the Yorkshire derby.
Hernandez is at the heart of most things positive moving forward for the Whites and has completed 2.3 shots and key passes per game this season according to WhoScored.
Cowley will have been counting on the experience of Hogg to try and blunt that attack at Elland Road. The 31-year-old has highlighted how good he is at making games scrappy, picking up 11 yellow cards already this season.
The Huddersfield boss is clearly gutted that Hogg will be missing, and it could definitely be an area that Leeds could exploit on Saturday.
