Chris Kamara opens up on struggles of Leeds 26y/o, claims Bielsa will stick v Huddersfield

Chris Kamara has opened up on the struggles of Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford this season.

The former Whites ace believes that Marcelo Bielsa will continue to keep his faith in the 26-year-old who hasn’t scored since the 3-2 win against Millwall in January.

Kamara claims that he has heard differing opinions from Leeds fans, who will love Bamford one week but call for him to be replaced the next.

Kamara expects Bamford to keep his spot for the upcoming Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

“The thing about him (Bielsa) is that he’s old school,” he told Leeds Live.

“If you’re part of the eleven and you are fit every single week, you will play every single week. That’s how he seems to be. We see a lot of teams changing their formation and changing their players. With him, if you’re part of his team he has faith in you to play every week.

“I live in Wakefield near Leeds and most of my friends are Leeds fans. One week they are tearing their hair out about (Patrick) Bamford and the next week they are saying, ‘great stuff’.”

There has been more pressure on the shoulders of Bamford this week after Tyler Roberts scored twice in 23 minutes during the 4-0 win against Hull City.

Saturday’s performance wasn’t the best from Bamford, as he worked hard but was kept relatively quiet. The former Boro man didn’t manage a single shot on goal, and also didn’t complete one dribble or key pass according to WhoScored.

Bamford does bring a lot to the table outside of just goals at Elland Road, but it is getting to the point where questions are being asked more frequently.
