MOT Super Fans: Leeds saint & sinner from 1-0 win v Reading

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road and Thorp Arch.

The 1-0 win against Reading on Tuesday was Leeds’ fourth consecutive victory and it took them top of the table, albeit for just 24 hours.

It might not have been as convincing as West Brom’s impressive 4-1 mauling of Bristol City on Wednesday but it seems Marcelo Bielsa’s men are intent on winning automatic promotion and scoring the minimum number of goals in the process.

Leeds have now scored 11 fewer than West Brom at the top and one less than Luton Town in 21st. It’s efficiency of sorts.

The form is fantastic though and has been all season. Leeds are dominating games and getting the job done.

Jack Harrison might have left it until the 87th minute to score against Reading, but Leeds had 67% possession and twice as many shots (16 to 8) as the home side at the Madejski [stats from SofaScore].

But who was man of the match for Leeds and who flopped on the night? That’s what we asked our panel of Super Fans and this is who they had in their sights…

James Tilford (@JamesTilford1)

Luke (@LukeParsonsss)

Nick Howe (@NickHow07209652)

Lee Scott (@LeeScott321)

Adam Elliott (@adam_elliott118)

Ben White was the clear winner for man of the match, as he has been for numerous games this season, with mentions for Jack Harrison and Gjanni Alioski.

Mateusz Klich, Kalvin Phillips and Pablo Hernandez (two votes each) share the award for flop of the match.
