Micah Richards blasts Dan James' composure in Leeds draw v Leicester

Micah Richards has blasted Leeds United attacker Dan James after the 1-1 draw against Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Whites somehow didn’t leave Elland Road with all three points in the Premier League, after dominating the Foxes for the majority of the afternoon.

James had numerous chances in the clash, with Richards insisting that he was celebrating too early and lacked real composure.

Speaking on Match of the Day 2 last night, Richards was not impressed with what he saw in the final third from the Whites.

“Leeds played really well offensively,” he said. “They were just snatching at things, they got into some really good areas.

“It was just that final pass, lacking that bit of composure. James actually did really well down this side, but he seems as though every time he gets a chance, he’s celebrating before he’s even connected with the ball.

“He’s waiting for his first goal.”

Composure.

James is doing everything right at this moment in time, everything but the final part of putting the ball in the back of the net.

The Welshman’s runs in behind and pressing were causing real problems to Leicester, but every time he got a chance in the final third, he crumbled.

If we’re being honest, the technique on show isn’t great, but if that can improve to any sort of level similar to the rest of his game – he will be a brilliant signing.

James is desperate for his first goal for the club, and when that comes, the floodgates should open for his confidence.

It was a brilliant display, and we’re a confident finisher away from seeing a brilliant talent at Elland Road – fingers crossed it comes soon.
