Matheus Pereira could only cost £15million, Leeds strongly linked this week - report

Leeds United have been told they will only have to pay £15million to sign West Brom playmaker Matheus Pereira, according to TEAMtalk.

The Whites have been strongly linked with the Brazilian playmaker, who once again became a Championship player after relegation last month.

Beren Cross reported this week that Victor Orta and the club are known admirers of Pereira, who is also linked with the likes of Aston Villa.

This would be the bargain of the summer.

Pereira still managed to light up the Premier League with a simply shocking West Brom team around him, hitting double figures at The Hawthorns.

If it wasn’t for the South American this season, the Baggies would have been relegated months before they actually were under Sam Allardyce.

With Championship football and the finances that come with that facing the Albion, they have already told Pereira he can leave.

No brainer.

This will surely raise the eyebrows of Marcelo Bielsa.

With his attacking four confirmed next season with Jack Harrison, Rodrigo, Raphinha and Patrick Bamford, having someone like Pereira to challenge that is perfect.

For only £15million, it would be hard to find a better deal around the world if the Whites were to bring him to Elland Road from the midlands.

The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and delivered six assists, imagine what numbers he could produce in West Yorkshire with world-class players surrounding him.

After reading this report and learning his bargain price, Orta will surely be on the phone to Andrea Radrizzani and begging him to make the first move; it could be critical.
