Leeds-linked Romain Perraud will leave this summer, Southampton favourites - L'Equipe
Leeds United will need to act very quickly if they want to sign Stade Brest defender Romain Perraud, according to L’Equipe.
The French outlet have reported that Southampton are also interested, and appear to be the favourites due to their close relationship with the club.
It is suggested that Perraud will cost more than £8.5million, and could move to St Mary’s in the “coming days.”
Newcastle have also been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, who has impressed significantly in Ligue One over the past year.
Southampton appear to have the upperhand as it is reported they opened negotiations back in the winter window, with one eye on this summer.
Perraud has been linked with Elland Road for almost a year now, with Marcelo Bielsa clearly looking to make a new left-back his clear priority in this window.

Mirror journalist David Anderson did recently suggest that the Whites weren’t interested, but French outlets closer to the player could debunk that.
Moving on.
Leeds appear to have numerous targets in mind, and won’t be hit badly by one setback.
Mundo Deportivo has reported that Huesca left-back Javi Galan has “packed his bags” ahead of moving to Elland Road this summer already.
After relegation from La Liga last season, the 26-year-old has a release clause, that the Whites have supposedly looked to take advantage of.
Perraud or not, it appears as though Victor Orta has a long list of names ready to pounce, as we look to bring in one, if not two left-backs this summer.
Much will depend on the future of Ezgjan Alioski, but it is brilliant to see just how proactive we are being ahead of the window with plans to have the squad completed before pre-season.
