Mateusz Klich deletes Twitter account after abuse from Leeds United fans
Mateusz Klich has been forced to delete his Twitter account after receiving abuse from Leeds United fans over his costly mistake against Chelsea on Saturday.
Klich, 31, brought Antonio Rudiger down in the penalty area in stoppage time, allowing Jorginho to score and win the game 3-2 for the Londoners at Stamford Bridge.
As reported by The Square Ball, Klich has had abuse aimed at him by sections of the support and that has led to him deactivating his Twitter account, as seen below.

Sending abuse directly to players on social media is disgraceful and you would have thought that fans of our club would know better.
However, in recent weeks, there have been sections of the Leeds United support that has really let the majority down.
It was alleged that numerous objects were thrown at Brentford players last week while after the game against Crystal Palace, the club had to condemn alleged homophobic chants aimed at Conor Gallagher.
Now, we’re seeing fans abusing players on Twitter, tagging them to make sure they can see it.
It’s fair to criticise. Klich made a mistake and unfortunately, it did cost us what would have been a brilliant point at Stamford Bridge.
However, to be so vile to someone on social media is disgraceful. Would you do that to Klich’s face if you met him in the street?
If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face, then don’t say it at all.
Klich’s not the same player now as he was in the Championship. He’s in his 30s and it would be fair to say that he’s struggle to match the levels required in the Premier League.
He probably knows that himself, yet he still tries and gives 100 per cent whenever he plays.
Klich’s come a long way at Leeds United and there’s no doubt that he loves this football club.
Don’t let him down. Support him.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has finally responded to the Andrea Radrizzani Twitter outburst that was aimed at him.
