Mark Warburton has labelled Leeds United links with Queens Park Rangers skipper Rob Dickie as "nonsense."

Football Insider have reported that the Whites and Wolves are both plotting late window moves for the defender.

Warburton has insisted that those rumours are false, suggesting that there is no switch on the cards.

Speaking to West London Sport, Warburton responded to the Elland Road links during the summer window.

"You’re seeing journalists saying Newcastle, Leeds, Wolves all going in for our players," he said. "Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.

"But they seem to get away with it week on week and stories then generate from their false stories in the first place."

Nonsense.

The move would make no sense.

Diego Llorente has recovered from his injury and adding young Charlie Cresswell after his new contract, there are five all pushing for the two spots at the back.

Liam Cooper, Robin Koch and Pascal Struijk hand Marcelo Bielsa numerous options and another central defender is just unnecessary.

Dickie is surely on a crash course to the Premier League though, having arrived at QPR from Oxford and taken their captain's armband within a year.

It looks unlikely to be this summer or even at Elland Road for that matter, looking at this latest attack from Warburton.

He will be trying to take attention away from one of his stars, but it looks as though he has done the exact opposite as the window enters the business stage.
