Marcelo Bielsa makes COVID-19 admission, claims Leeds prevent him from answering

Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that Leeds United have prevented him from disclosing information about his squad and COVID-19.

Tyler Roberts continues to be unavailable for selection, with outsiders believing he is leaving the club or has contracted the virus.

El Loco admitted that the Welsh international is in his plans, and based on these latest comments, it is possible he has tested positive.

Speaking to the media on Friday, as relayed by BBC journalist Adam Pope on his personal Twitter account, Bielsa made the admission.

“I’m not allowed to tell you,” he said.

“I’d ask you to not ask questions please that might allow you to read between the lines. It’s not that I don’t want to answer. If I give an evasive answer it’s in response to what I’ve been asked to do.”

The case of Roberts appears to be getting more intriguing as each day passes.

Plenty of clubs from the Championship are interested in the 21-year-old, but Bielsa seems determined to keep hold of the forward after the January window.

So, if he’s not moving anywhere, why is he unavailable?

Bielsa doesn’t remain quiet on injuries, so one could assume quite strongly that Roberts has contracted the virus in the past two weeks, and could be back for the Premier League clash against Brighton.

It was the Whites who announced the positive test for Rodrigo earlier in the season, and it appears that they would now prefer to keep things under wraps now at Elland Road, which could be a smart decision.
