Marcelo Bielsa leaves Leeds United by mutual consent – talkSPORT

Marcelo Bielsa has left Leeds United by mutual consent on Saturday evening, according to talkSPORT.

The decision comes after defeats to Manchester United, Liverpool and Spurs in the space of seven days in the Premier League.

The radio station have reported that the decision has been made, and the new manager hunt will begin immediately.

Writing on their personal Twitter account, talkSPORT broke the bombshell news that everyone was waiting for.

“Breaking: Marcelo Bielsa has left Leeds United by mutual consent,” they wrote.

“TalkSPORT sources understand.”

Wow.

This may have been coming for some time since the defeat this afternoon, but it is still a massive shock to the system.

Bielsa will go down as our best manager since David O’Leary after taking us back to the big time, and he will have legendary status at Elland Road.

That said, the results were getting worst and there were no signs of change or improvement, meaning something had to happen.

Despite that, some fans wanted him to stay, and it wouldn’t have been contested if he made that decision.

Andrea Radrizzani has questions to answer, too, with his lack of financial backing in January seriously not helping matters.

It looks as though it may be Jesse Marsch next, let’s wait and see.
