Marcelo Bielsa confirms Leeds United team news v Brentford

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed his Leeds United team news for the Premier League clash against Brentford on Sunday.

The Whites come into this one with two days extra rest given that the Bees only played last night (2nd December) in their defeat at Spurs.

Confirmed on Twitter this morning (3rd December), Bielsa shared that Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford will be available.

Speaking to the media as shared on Twitter, Bielsa shared the update that everyone was hoping for ahead of the Elland Road showdown.

“It is likely they will be available for the game on Sunday,” he confirmed.

It is hard to imagine Bielsa making big changes to his side.

The 1-0 win over Crystal Palace was a huge relief for everyone, but it won’t mean much if it isn’t followed up this weekend.

Picking up another three points in the Premier League would push Leeds into the top half of the table depending on other results.

That was unimaginable a couple of weeks ago, so it shows just how quickly things can turn around in the space of two fixtures if it goes your way.

With Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool coming up, it is critical that Bielsa has his full squad to choose from.

It looks as though that will be the case, and we already can’t wait, no matter how daunting December is currently looking.
