Marcelo Bielsa confirms Leeds team news for Spurs clash

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed his Leeds United team news ahead of the Premier League clash against Spurs on Saturday.

Helder Costa has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a back injury in the 0-0 draw against Manchester United.

Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips are also doubts, with no confirmation that either will feature against Ryan Mason’s side at Elland Road.

Adam Pope shared the news on his personal Twitter account on Thursday, with the Whites looking to end the season with a bang.

Bielsa was also quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post when explaining the blow for Costa, insisting he won’t be able to “compete” again during this campaign.

Raphinha has been superb this seaosn.

The Brazilian has also missed the games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Brighton, and it was clear we missed him on Saturday.

Bielsa had numerous issues, and it isn’t great as we look for another scalp this season against one of the so-called bigger clubs.

Costa missing the rest of the seasons isn’t a huge blow, but it is for his personal ambition of keeping his spot in the squad for the next campaign.

With numerous wingers being linked with a move to West Yorkshire, this could be a big problem and could see him lose his spot under Bielsa.

We have already forgotten about the six-game unbeaten run after that shocking performance at Brighton, we need a response.
