Marcelo Bielsa confirms he will stay at Leeds United for the 2021/22 campaign
Marcelo Bielsa has told the media that his Leeds United future is sorted ahead of the start of the 2021/22 campaign against Manchester United on Saturday.
The Argentine’s future has been the subject of scrutiny all summer with Bielsa continuing his theme of holding off putting pen to paper.
However, it seems everything is completed now after BBC journalist Adam Pope shared quotes from Bielsa’s press conference on Thursday afternoon.

Writing via his personal Twitter profile, Pope tweeted: “Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa says his contract “situation is resolved” & that he will remain at Elland Road for a fourth season.”
Finally
It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for, and it’s finally here.
Whether El Loco has actually ‘officially’ put pen to paper, we do not know. He says it has been “resolved” and that he will be Whites manager for the forthcoming campaign, but stopped short of saying it had been ratified by paperwork.
But there will surely be official confirmation and an announcement before our clash at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime.
Regardless, it’s great to hear the words come out of the great man’s mouth – it was never really in doubt, at least to Leeds fans, but there’s always that 1% worry that something may develop and go wrong.
That’s certainly what a few pundits and opposition supporters have been alluding to.
However, just as he did last season, Bielsa has left it late to confirm he will remain at Elland Road.
He just likes to keep us on our toes, and it’s something we’ve just grown accustomed to over the years.
Here’s to another year of El Loco.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign this Portuguese attacking sensation.
